Rubicon Tuber #3 |
|
| Here is the latest, a 3rd HPI Rubicon based chassis, this one is destined to be a scaler I think... |

| Getting the windshields frame at the right angle and the rear support lined up takes the longest, the rest is basically just a support system. |

| Paal wants a large stinger - How is this? |

| I cut my mock-up body a little to test the fit for the days work, it fits like a glove. |

Day One is done... |

| End of
Day two... Shortened the stinger, added hood section supports. Installed the front shock mount braces and started working on the tire rack (not pictured). |

| End of
day three... All that is left is shock mount panels and a belly pan, some primer and the mail man! |

| Here is a mock up with my un-dovetailed test body. You can see where the spare will mount to the integrated spare rack. |

| All
finished. Made the shock mount panels and belly pan, and it's all
set to ship! The shock mount plates are left blank and can be drilled for shocks as required, no unnecessary holes. Upper and lower links are mounted to the two-piece belly pan via included, but not installed, TLT link mounts. The body is mounted via 8 screws into brazed on nuts. |
