Mini-T Monster Truck
I built this a long time ago, and
have sold it since, but I thought I'd put it up here for all to see. |
|
| Here it was the day I brought it home. |
![]() |
| I picked up a ton of parts. A Speed 280, spare stock parts, etc. |

|
| HPI touring car shocks were modified to fit. |
![]() |
| Cutting the front skid like this allows more movement from the a-arms and raises the ride height. |
![]() |
| Here was one side of the upgraded suspension installed. |
![]() |
![]() |
|
| Completed front end mods. |
![]() |
![]() |
|
| You can see the increased travel in this pic. |
![]() |
| I made some extensions that were needed to mount the links. |
![]() |
| Here is the rear suspension completed. |
![]() |
| Needed some pimpin', so here are the 1/10 touring car wheels I put on. I used the most grippy tread they had. |
![]() |
| To make the wheels fit, I had to modify the hexes. I used a Dremel to remove a circle from the center. |
![]() |
| The bearing goes in... |
![]() |
| and it goes into the wheel. |
![]() |
| I made some custom screw-on front body posts. |
![]() |
| The rear was held on with a single screw in the bed. |
![]() |
| Pro-Line Dakota. |
![]() |
![]() |
|
| Here it is with the Max I had at the time. |
![]() |
| I later installed lights. |
![]() |
![]() |
|
| The servo was modified to fit and upgraded to a high-torque. |
![]() |
| The Speed 280 turned about to be the best choice at the time. At one point, I had a full sized 1/10 motor, but it was a wheelie monster and no fun to drive. |
![]() |
| I used an Eco-20 because it's waterproof. |
