Comp Style 18" WB Clod tuber |
|
| Thus begins the latest build, an 18: Clod Comp truck. I had just enough tube left in stock to make the main center section, There will many more pics when I pick up more supplies! |

| The windshield frame and side tubes were added. At this point, I really didn't like the way it looked at all. |

| Once the rear roof support, side and rear rails were installed, the design redeemed itself. |

| Got some more done, but I am at a stopping point. I had to order the parts to build some Clod axle shells for mock-up since this tuber is getting links as well. |

| Here
is the Clod axle mocked up, gives a good size reference for the chassis. The following two are with the new belly pan, etc. |

| Once I started placing the link mounts, I realized I needed a different belly pan. It's now 2-peice, because I can't get aluminum in a large enough sheet for a pan this large. |

| The shock mounts are made and ready to install. They will make sense tomorrow... |

| It's
been primered and is drying. I accidentally bought the wrong
thread count threaded rod for the links, so I need to go back and hope
they have what I need! Unfortunately, this moves the shipping day out another day. |

| Here
she is with links installed (shown with my mock-up Clod axle case).
I installed the 3/8" tube inside the 1/4" tube so the ends wouldn't move
and make the whole link stronger. It ships on Monday, Dec 11th.
